Aviara is an upscale community in the Southwest quadrant of town,
bordering the Bataquitos Lagoon. The focal point of the community
is the Four Seasons resort (pictured above), the only 5-star resort
in San Diego County. Aviara is one of the most prestigious addresses
you can have in North County. The landscaping is beautiful everywhere,
and it is well manicured by the Aviara Homeowner's Association.
As you drive around Aviara and catch glimpses of the lagoon, the
Aviara Golf Course, the Pacific Ocean, and the gorgeous colorful
flowers everywhere, I promise you'll be impressed.
The Bataquitos Lagoon extends inland about a mile and a half
from the ocean. There is a beautiful public walking trail that
follows the lagoon's edge. Here you see one of the links of
the Aviara Golf Course and the lagoon beyond.
Sandpiper is a mid-range home community in Aviara. Homes range
from 2400 to 2800 square feet, and you would expect prices in
the $800K range. On the hill above Sandpiper, you see Aviara
Drive, with very large ocean view homes with price tags around
$2 to 3 Million.
An example of an upscale neighborhood on the golf course is
Pavona. These homes are 3200-3500 square feet, priced over $1M.
This is an example of some clustered homes in Aviara, the
lowest priced homes in the area. These are around 2000 square
feet, and homes in good locations are going to start in the
$500,000s. Yes, Avira is expensive, but you sure can't beat
the location.
