The Poinsettia Park area is a newer area of Carlsbad just about
a mile from the ocean, and close to the I-5 freeway. Poinsettia
Park is the major park in the Northwest quadrant of the city, a
large park complete with ballfields and tennis courts. There are
many new upscale homes in the area and a new elementary school.
The least expensive homes in the area are in the
development called "Greystone At The Cove". This popular
family neighborhood has its own community pool and you can walk
to the park and elementary school. These homes range from 2000-2400
square feet, and sell in the $600,000s and $700,000s.
The next step up are homes from 2500 to 3000 square
feet, and these sell in the $800K-$1M range.
At the top of the hill you'll find the estate
area of Poinsettia Park. Homes here are 3000 to 5000 square
feet, and typically have ocean views. You could expect the price
tag to range from $900K to well over $1.2M.
This is a view of the new Pacific Rim elementary
school in the Carlsbad school district. Of course, it scores
a 10 out of a possible 10, making it one of the best schools
in the state.
